When a site has been clearcut and the landowner is looking to regenerate that site with seedlings, usually there is some sort of site preparation that has to take place. Site prep, as it sounds, refers to preparation of the site for planting. When it is needed, we work hand-in-hand with Chad Stutzman of C.S. Construction & Land Improvement L.L.C. Chad has been in the site prep and land clearing business for years and does an excellent job. Here are some shots from a site that had been clearcut in early fall and subsequently prepared for planting. Notice how the debris is gathered into rows. This allows the planting crew to plant between the rows in the clean areas.
